For several years the maximum size allowed for the PDI competition has been 1800x1200 even though our projector is capable of a slightly higher resolution. After some discussion & a show of hands at club last night it has been decided to change the allowed PDI size so that we can make full use of the 1920x1200 resolution available in the projector and gain the full advantage of the great screen at PDI nights. This means that from the commencement of the 2019 competition year the maximum PDI dimensions will be as follows.

  • Maximum image width is 1920 pixels

  • Maximum image height is 1200 pixels

Note: You are still free to enter 1800x1200 images if you wish. The maximum size for a square image will still be 1200x1200. However if you want to enter a slightly wider landscape orientation image or even a panorama, this will offer a larger projection size

All other naming rules for both the images themselves & for email submission remain unchanged.

That’s right! It’s 19-20 from 20-19. (Ed.)
